Late News 28/08 Penryn River: Wood Sandpiper at Gorrangorras re-identified as a Lesser Yellowlegs from photos, looked for but not seen since. (per D Parker)

Late News 31/08 Tregony: Little Stint and Curlew Sandpiper 1.5 miles south of Tregony at Bessy Beneath in the field behind the Texaco garage.
Marazion: Ad Buff-breasted Sandpiper still showing well, also c200 Ringed Plover, c120 Dunlin, c100 Sanderling, c50 Turnstone, 2 Oystercatcher, 1 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Bar-tailed Godwit, 43 Curlew, 1 Little Egret, 2 Sandwich Tern, 1 Common Tern and 1 Yellow Wagtail on the beach. Marazion Marsh RSPB: 2 Spotted Crakes still from the standing stone, also 2 Grey Heron, 3+ Little Egret, 1 Cormorant, 2 Mute Swan, 6 Mallard, 4 ad Moorhen plus 9 young, 15+ swallow (all flying west), juv Stonechat and Sedge Warblers. (D Parker, N Climpson & D King)

Hayle Estuary RSPB: 3 Pectoral Sandpipers reported still from the causeway opposite the car wash at 09:30. Also an adult Little Gull, 1 Shoveler , 4 Wigeon and 30 Teal. (D Eva)
Lizard: 2 unringed Chough in mowed field by side of footpath between the village and Southerly point and 4 House Martins over the village carpark. (D Jenkins)
Walmsley Sanctuary: 18 Greenshank, 2 Common Redshank, 2 Knot, 3 Ruff, 4 Common Sandpiper (one with badly injured leg) 3 Green Sandpiper, 8 Black-tailed Godwit,1 Lapwing, 38 Dunlin, 1 Little Ringed Plover, 6 Ringed Plover (including a noticeably smaller and slimmer juvenile, probably of the subspecies ‘tundrae’), 19 Teal, 2 Shoveler and a juv Tufted Duck. Treraven Meadow: 2 Ruff, 1 Green Sandpiper, 22 Teal, 80+ Lesser Black-backed Gulls of mixed ages including both ( ‘graellsii’ and ‘intermedius’) 79 Canada Geese, 1 Little Egret, 1 Grey Heron and 1 Kingfisher. (C Selway)
