Hayle Estuary: Semi-palmated Sandpiper still present around Carnsew Pool and H. Tempest Ltd. In addition, 3 Ringed Plover, 10 Dunlin, 1 Wheatear, 6 Rock Pipit, 1 Spotted Redshank, 9 Black-tailed Godwit, 5 Bar-tailed Godwit, 1 Peregrine (circling) . Nanjizal Valley: 1 Buff-breasted Sandpiper flew over this morning. Also 119 birds ringed including a Common Nightingale originally ringed in Belgium,15 Sedge Warbler, 47 Blackcap, 4 Willow Warbler, Garden Warbler, 15 Chiffchaff, 5 Whitethroat, Grasshopper Warbler, Spotted Flycatcher and a Firecrest. Porthilly Point: Osprey lingered 10 mins before heading off S/W over Padstow. Hobby, Wheatear, Meadow Pipit, Grey Wagtail and 3 Rock Pipit, 100s of Mediterranean Gull, 13 Sandwich Tern,1 Dunlin, 3 Turnstone, 100+ Curlew and 1 Wigeon. Small Heath and Small Copper butterflies. (P Sofley)
