Penzance, 20.40: At least 10 Swifts screaming over Market Jew Street. (J Hawkey)

Cudden Point: Cuckoo m. Spending 15min plus on the ground above rocky coast. Stayed almost still much of the time. Rock Pipit appeared from below, but did not seem overly concerned. I think a second Cuckoo flew past and broke the spell. Called soon after. Rock Pipit is one of the rarer hosts (BWP). 6 or more Painted Lady butterfly. (C Richards)
