St Just: Great Northern Diver high north, c500 Manx Shearwater, c30 Kittiwake, 2cy Iceland Gull, 11 Whimbrel, male lookalike ‘Continental Stonechat’, S.r.rubicola, paired with female, showing whiter rump (with thin black streaks) than British race, S.r.hibernans with larger white neck patches, reduced, brighter orange breast patch and overall more black and white appearance. Downderry: moving west before 0730 were 210 Gannets, 4 Great Northern Divers (all in sp), 5 Manx Shearwaters, 2 Kittiwakes, 20 auks and 2 Swifts. 14 Whimbrel onshore. (A Payne)
