It is with great sadness that we report the death of Paul Dukes, a CBWPS member and Cornish resident for the last 30 years. Paul is probably best known for his birdfinding abilities on Scilly, where he hadn’t missed a year since the early 1960’s. Among his most notable finds were Britain’s first Semi-palmated Plover and Wood Thrush. After giving up London life, he became a bird tour leader, initially with Cygnus and then with Naturetrek.
