Walmsley Sanctuary: There will be some disturbance on the reserve this weekend when the Cornwall Mammal Group are going to do some small mammal surveys. This will help us identify what specific ones are using our reserve.
Timings will be :- Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st July 2019 7pm – 9pm (Saturday), 9am – 12am (Sunday).

Late news, 14/7, Penzance: 2 Redshank on rocks below the harbour wall. (B Dodds)

Trewidden Gardens: Turtle Dove seen and heard in the South Garden. (D White)

Drift Reservoir: 2 Common Sandpiper. Only 2 adult male Red-veined Darter today after the high number here 8th & 9th July (count of 116 on 8th apparently a new UK record) so presumably they have continued to migrate northwards. (D Flumm)

Bude: 2 Guillemot, 1 Razorbill, 15 Manx Shearwater, 2 Harbour Porpoise offshore. (R Kirkwood)

Golitha Falls: 5 Nuthatch, 1 Buzzard, 1 Wren, 2 Grey Wagtail, 1 Blue Tit and 2 Wood Pigeon. (R. Barlow)

Hayle Estuary RSPB: Juv. Yellow-legged Gull then flew SW at 18:25, 2 ad Greenshank, 1 non-breeding plumage Bar-tailed Godwit, 2 Black-tailed Godwit, 10 Redshank, 14 Dunlin, 2 Wigeon on Lelant Saltings. (R Veal)

Lizard Village/Old Lizard Head: 4 (2 ad 2 juv) Sedge Warbler, 1 Willow Warbler, 5 juv Stonechat, 3f Linnet, 1 juv Whitethroat,  Meadow Pipit, 2f Blackbird, 15+ Goldfinch, 2 Wren 10:30 – 12:00. (M Webb)
