Late news, 18/9, Looe island: 1 Common Sandpiper, 2 Turnstone, 1 Curlew, 1 Wheatear, 1 ad Mediterranean Gull, 1 Black-headed gull, 8 Little Egret together, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Kestrel, 1 Peregrine, 3 Carrion Crow, 1 Raven, 9 Wood pigeon leaving for the mainland, 2 Gannet and 1 Guillemot. Also Wren, Robin, Blackbird, Oystercatcher, Shag, Cormorant, Herring and Great Black-backed gulls seen. At least 6 Painted Lady feeding on flowering Ivy. (R Hurrell )
