Marazion Marsh RSPB: 7 Mute Swan (including 1 immature), 2 Greylag, 2 Canada Geese, 2 hybrid geese, 6 Mallard, 2 Gadwall, 39 Teal, 2 Bittern, 1 Little Egret, 21 Grey Heron, 1 Cormorant, 7 Little Grebe, 16 Moorhen, 3 Water Rail, 1 Buzzard, 5 Snipe, 1 Oystercatcher and 2 Cetti’s Warbler. Stithians Reservoir: 3 Brambling, 1 Water Rail, 7 Reed Bunting, 2 Long-tailed Tit, 5 Greenfinch, 10+ Goldfinch, 50+ Chaffinch, 1 Water Rail, 2 Moorhen, also a number of Blue Tit and Great Tit at the feeders by the Southern Cut-off. On the main reservoir: 11 Goldeneye, Tufted Duck, 2 Gadwall, Long-tailed Duck, 3 Great Crested Grebe and 2 Little Grebe. (A Hartley & J St Ledger)

Marazion: 2 Great Northern Divers in Mounts Bay. At high tide by the Godolphin Hotel there were 1 Knot, 70 Sanderling, c40 Turnstone, 40 Dunlin and 11 Grey Plover; also 1 Purple Sandpiper below Gwelva, 2 Dark-bellied Brent Goose and 1 fem Black Redstart plus 12 Med Gulls (10 Adult, + 2w & 1w) in the Black-headed Gull roost flock to the East of St Michael’s Mount. Rosennanon Downs: 1 American Golden Plover in the morning, flew from the bottom end of the central fire-break towards Tregonetha Downs, calling twice. Also 60+ Lapland Buntings moving around the moor and the fields to the south, 80+ Reed Bunting and 6 Common Snipe. (C Selway)
