Longrock: 2 Great Northern Diver, 1 Black-throated Diver and 2 f Eider offshore and a f Black Redstart on the rocks below the car park. (D Parker)
Marazion Marsh RSPB: 1 Little Egret, 11 Grey Heron, 2 Cormorant, 6 Mute Swan, 2 hybrid geese, 23 Teal, 9 Mallard, 1 Shoveler, 21 Moorhen, 1 Water Rail, 4 Snipe, 1 Reed Bunting, 3 Chiffchaff and 2 Cetti’s Warbler. (D Parker)
Kingsmill Lake:Lesser Yellowlegs probably present since 30 Nov 2011, but always very distant. View from China Fleet Club nature trail far hide SX427608, best looked for on the dropping tide. Also drake Shoveler, 2 Grey Plover, Knot, 1 Spotted Redshank and 6 Greenshank plus the usual Dunlin and Black-tailed Godwit. (M Beer)
Marazion: Water Pipit and 2 Stonechat still around Red River. (D Parker)
Penzance, Jubilee Pool: 1 Great Northern Diver, 1 Black-throated Diver, 1+ Slav Grebe, 1 male Long-tailed Duck, 2 Eider (1W m & f) and 3 Common Scoter. (D Parker) Also 32 Purple Sandpipers reported on outer wall of harbour and the Surf Scoter again but distant this morning.
Stithians Reservoir:7 (4m, 3f) Reed Bunting, 1 Water Rail under feeders and 1 f Great Spotted Woodpecker on peanuts in the southern cut off. 6 Goldeneye (1 m), 1 Great Crested Grebe, 150+ Lapwing, 9 Snipe, 1 Gadwall and 2 f Goosander on the main reservoir. (D Jenkins)
Par: Ad drake Ring-necked Duck and Bittern still on Par Beach Pool and Great Northern Diver in the bay. Also 4 Goosanders on St Andrew’s Pool and 20 Redwings nearby. (S Rogers)
