Walmsley notice: There will be a work party at Walmsley on Tuesday 31st from 9am until mid afternoon. Both hides will remain open but expect some noise and disturbance. Any members keen to help are welcome to join us. Wellies are essential as we will be cutting out the islands in front of the tower hide and pulling ragwort.

Nanjizal Valley: 124 new ringed at private site. Migrants included 13 Chiffchaff, 31 Willow Warbler, 18 Sedge Warbler, 12 Reed Warbler, 5 Grasshopper Warbler, 3 Garden Warbler, 9 Blackcap, 14 Whitethroat, 1 Redstart, 2 Spotted Flycatcher, 8 Tree Pipit and 2 Whinchat. Also in/over 1 Pied Flycatcher, 1 Yellow Wagtail, 7+ Tree Pipit, 1 Firecrest, 1 Coot, 2 Whimbrel, 1 Green Sandpiper, 2 Swift. (P Roseveare, R Veal)
