Newquay: 2 Buzzard, 6 Swallow nesting in barn, 5 House Martin collecting nesting, 1 pair Dunnock, 1 pair Wren feeding 6 young in nest, Robin with 3 young, 1 m Song Thrush singing, 2 pairs of Blackbird with 3 and 4 young, 2 m Blackcap singing, 1 m Whitethroat singing, 2 Goldcrest, 1 pair Blue Tit in nest box with 6 young fledged on 8/6/12, pair Great Tit with 4 young, 1 pair Coal Tit, 1 pair Magpie with 3 young, 10+ Sparrow with 1 pair in nest box, 1 pair Chaffinch with 3 young, 1 pair Greenfinch with 4 young, 4 Goldfinch, 1 pair Bullfinch and 1 m Yellowhammer in a private garden in Whitecross. Pendennis, Falmouth: 7:15- 9:45 52+ Manx Shearwater, 100+ Gannet, 1 dark phase skua sp, 1 summer adult Great Northern Diver, 1 Storm Petrel, 10+ Razorbill, 3 Guillemot, 10+ auk sp, 6 Kittiwake, Sandwich Tern 5, 1 Common Tern, 2 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Oystercatcher, 1 Whimbrel, 4 Dunlin, 12 Sanderling and 1 Shelduck plus Fulmars, Cormorants, Shags, Herring and GBB Gulls all flying west between 7:15 & 9:45 also Rock Pipit, Raven and Sparrowhawk (m) on the point. Burlawn: South of Wadebridge a Quail singing this morning from the Burlawn to Hustyns road, just below the turning to Hustyns Wood, at least 2 Crossbill, 2 Jay and 1 Siskin at the top end of the wood. (C Selway)

The Lizard: Squacco Heron in a garden, possibly present for 1 week.
Downderry: 5+ Storm Petrel past.
