Late submission, 14/06, Porthgwarra: 2 (pr) Wheatear, 2 (pr) Stonechats feeding 2 young, family party of Linnets. Also, 1 young male Southern Emerald Damselfly (Lestes barbarus) at the pond confirmed by Adrian Parr from BDS who says “Southern Emeralds have been slow to colonise Britain, and are still only found at a few sites mostly around the Thames Estuary. A colony was discovered at Penhale last year (the first for SW England) but it rather sounds like this individual might be from elsewhere and is a very important find“. (J Hawkey and K Dalziel)
