Late news, 17/7, Downderry: 0555-0800, moving west 3 Common Scoter, 253 Gannet, 4 Balearic Shearwater, 7 Manx Shearwater and 8 Mediterranean Gull. Inshore a male Eider and a Sandwich Tern. (A Payne)

Drift Reservoir: 1 Wood Sandpiper (dropped into NW arm early pm), 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Tufted Duck, c40 Swift. (R Veal)

Hayle Estuary: 2 Sandwich Tern, 2 Common Sandpiper, 2 Greenshank, 2 Redshank, 7 Dunlin, 6 Greylag & 45 Canada Geese, 2pairs Shelduck with 5 & 2 ducklings respectively,16 House Martins alighting on & taking mud (J Hawkey) Also, 2 Sanderling (Ryan’s Field), 2 Whimbrel (1 Ryan’s Field, 1 Carnsew Pool) (N R Rogers)
