Late News, 08/11/2011 Stithians Reservoir:A Black-headed Gull seen at Stithians on 8th November 2011 has now been seen in France. It was at Le Conquet Ria, Finistere on 27th January. It was originally ringed as a chick at Slimbridge in June 2009 and was also seen at Upton Warren, Herefordshire on 29th April 2011. (M Grantham)
Marazion Marsh RSPB: 1 Bittern, 1+ Little Egret, 12 Grey Heron, 2 Cormorant, 6 Mute Swan, 1 Greylag, 2 hybrid geese, 2 Shelduck, 16 Teal, 7 Mallard, 1 Shoveler, 1 Coot, 18 Moorhen, 1+ Little Grebe, 4 Buzzard, 6 Snipe, 5 Chiffchaff (1 in full song) and 3+ Cetti’s Warbler. Bude Canal and Marshes: 1 Cetti’s Warbler near the hide, 1 Chiffchaff and 1 male Blackcap along the canal path, both in full song and possibly newly arrived migrants? Also 34 Teal and 13 Curlew. (J Rance)
