Late news, 12/8, Delabole: Still a party of at least 20 screeing Swifts here. Very late as usually gone by mid July. Certainly local breeders as we have 2 or 3 colonies, and flying low. Presumably young birds. No doubt the heatwave responsible: no cool nights until the rain arrived overnight today (13/08). Unclear whether they have been returning to nests overnight or remaining on the wing. (N Page)
