Hayle Estuary: 1 Semipalmated Sandpiper in a large mixed flock of Dunlin and Ringed Plover at 8am by Tempest Building. (G Fisher). Also, 1 Little Stint still on Carnsew Basin. 

Pendeen: adult Long-tailed Skua with Manx Shearwaters, in close by Wra rocks at 0640. (P Combridge, DK Parker)

Seaton Valley Country Park and Downderry: Large flock of White Storks overhead, at least 60, circling using the thermals. One bird on ground in Country Park (D Spooner).  Then c70 White Storks seen over Looe Island at 11.02. (A Langdon).  Later, 30+ White Stork over Duporth Bay, St Austell around 13.30. (P Wilkins).  About 70 White Stork over Ruan Pool, Windmill Farm at c17.00.  Later, 74 White Stork landed at Predannack Airfield and remained on the runways until at least 19.15. (M Grantham). Note, these birds are from the Knepp Estate Re-introduction scheme in Sussex.

St John’s Lake: 47 Curlew, including 1 from Dartmoor reintroduction project – yellow flag on each leg, and 1 green ring under yellow flag on 1 leg. Also, 17 Whimbrel, 31 Ringed Plover, 7 Dunlin, 1 juv Sanderling, 1 Grey Plover in partial summer plumage, 60 Oystercatcher, all Sango Island area, from St John side, rising tide this afternoon. (M Jordan)
