Davidstow Airfield: 50 + Golden Plover over, 9 White Wagtail, 31 Pied Wagtail, 23 Meadow Pipit, 34 Lesser Black backed Gull. (S Grose)

Drift reservoir: 1 Snow Goose sleeping among several Mallards which were both male and female. Nearby there were around 9 Cormorants surrounding a Grey Heron, later a little egret flew next to the grey heron, startling it and waking it up. 3 Little egrets were spotted in total while 12 Cormorants were seen. At the end of the reservoir there were at least 8 Moorhens and another Grey heron, I also saw a wader wich could have been a Wood Sandpiper. When walking back out from from the reservoir a Common sandpiper did fly away from the shore of the water and just before that a Buzzard flew overhead. Throughout the reservoir the were hundreds of Herring Gulls mixed with Greater Black Backed Gulls and Lesser Black Backed Gulls, a lot of these were juvenile. When I first arrived I saw a female Tufted Duck and two Little Grebes. Later I counted 7 Little Grebes and 3 Great Crested Grebes, I also heard a Littles Grebes call. There were two Little Grebes resting in the reeds, one male one female, when one of the Cormorants scared them away. There were also several Jackdaws and 2 Magpies. Numerous bird songs were heard as well which were: Grey Wagtail, Carrion Crow, Wren and Great Tit. (S Holtholthutchinson)
