Marazion Marsh RSPB: 10 Grey Heron, 6 Mute Swan, 3 Canada Geese, 1 hybrid goose, 7 Mallard, 2 Gadwall, 1 Coot, 6 Moorhen (plus 3 young), 2 Cormorant, c25 Whimbrel, c30 Swift, c10 Swallow, c20 Sand Martin, c5 House Martin, 1 Wheatear, 2+ Reed Bunting, 1 Chiffchaff, 2 Willow Warbler, Reed Warblers, Sedge Warblers and 4 Cetti’s Warbler. Lands End: Red-rumped Swallow first seen at 9:50 from cycle track coming in from SW, it circled around a number of times over the moor between cycle track and coast path before gaining height and drifting away quite high toward Sennen Cove. Then at 10:15 I saw (presumably the same bird) from near Trinity Pool coming across the cliff and across the cycle track before disappearing inland toward Sennen Churchtown. Also 1 Cuckoo, 4 Blackcap, 7 House Martin, 150+ Whimbrel, 1 Greenshank, 1 Sedge Warbler, 8 Wheatear, 16 Common Whitethroat, 2 Swift, a steady passage of Swallows, and a number of Willow Warbler and Chiffchaff. Zennor Hill: 2+ Whitethroats singing, c12 Willow Warblers between Eagles Nest and the old engine house, including 1 extraordinarily pale Willow Warbler. (D Jenkins)
Cape Cornwall: Male Woodchat still in fields between Boswedden House and the Golf Club entrance. Also at 3.30-3.40 pm 2 Lesser Redpoll and 3+ Goldfinch flew in on to the telephone wires in front of Boswedden House after several minutes they dropped into the field and disappeared from sight. Gerrans: Nightingale, gave two brief phrases of song from near Gerrans school at about 10:00 also Redstart.

Windmill Farm:M & f Peregrine, 2 Whimbrel, 35 Swallow, 2 Swift, 6 Skylark, 7 Wheatear, 3 Song Thrush, Grasshopper Warbler, Reed Warbler, 7 Sedge Warbler, 3 Blackcap, Garden Warbler, 3 Whitethroat, Lesser Whitethroat, 15 Willow Warblers, 2 Chiffchaffs and 6 Linnets. (A Pay)
Walmsley Sanctuary (CBWPS Members Only): Female Blue-winged Teal, Black-winged Stilt and Cattle Egret all showing well at the back of the reserve plus 4 Swift, 1 Hobby, 1 Greylag Goose, 1 male Sparrowhawk, 12 Black-tailed Godwit, 2 Lapwing, 4 Whimbrel, 1 Dunlin, 2 Wigeon and 7 Gadwall. ( An adult drake Shoveler appeared to mate with, then stay close to the female Blue-winged Teal). A male Marsh Harrier flew over the B3314 towards Amble at 16:30. (C Selway)

Marazion: 11 Gadwall flew in from SW and flew around offshore for some time before settling for a short while on the sea and then flying off E. Also 32 Dunlin on the beach. (C Barnard)
