Late news, 22/7, Colliford: 2 Crossbill (m & f) 1 Spotted Flycatcher in pines on road to Colliford Tavern. (M Beer)

Porthgwarra: 1 Cory’s Shearwater , 1 large Shearwater sp. and 1 Sooty Shearwater flew past. (J Wilson)

Truro: Roof nesting Gulls totalled 161 pairs Herring Gull, 16 pairs Lesser Black-backed and 1 pair Great Black-backed Gull. 37 pairs of Herring Gulls monitored, 28 were successful fledging 46 chicks.11 pairs of Lesser Black-backed Gulls monitored, 5 were successful fledging 11 chicks. Most failures occurred during hot weather in June. Hayle Estuary RSPB: 7 Black Tailed Godwit, 4 Dunlin, 50 plus Med Gulls. Also 23 Curlew visible from the road but more toward Tempest Works. (S Murnan)
