Help Needed: BTO are undertaking a new survey of Nightjars, Woodlarks, Dartford Warblers and a number of other important heathland species in 2025 and they need more volunteers to conduct surveys in Cornwall.

Bartinney Downs: 1 Booted Eagle (long staying pale phase individual soaring over east side with Buzzard at 1055). (N R Rogers)

Porth Island Newquay: 12 Fulmar, 2 Stonechat, 8 Starling, 4 Rock Pipit, 2 Meadow Pipit, 2 Blackbird, 4 Oystercatcher, small number of Auk species at sea long way out. (D Dennis)

Marazion Marsh RSPB: 1 Hoopoe on dog walk area but mobile, 2 m&f Turnstone, 8 (4m 4f) Linnet, 2 Dunnock, 1 Cetti’s Warbler heard, 2 Carrion Crow, 4 Magpie, 8 Jackdaw, 1 Snipe, 1m Teal, 2m Mallard, 3 Moorhen, 40+ Canada Goose, 2 Little Egret, 1 Grey Heron 10.30 – 11.30.
