St Germans: Two Redwing were in the garden early this morning, which, with the humble feral Pigeon which stopped for a quick drink in the river on 22 Sept., brings  our total to 72. (Andy Blonden)

St Germans: A very welcome Curlew Sandpiper – the first for some years – was among the Redshank and Dunlin in the creek, this morning; making 70. (Andy Blonden)

Lanlivery: Sand Martin – 5 over our ‘airspace’ on 16th September. Brings total to 63 species. (Phil McVey)

St Germans: Jackpot: a new bird for us both yesterday afternoon, when a Serin came to the feeders, then to the birdbath, followed by a juvenile. Amazing! (69). (Andy & Trish Blonden)

Update on July and August:

Reed Bunting – a male singing during most of July.
House Martin- not sighted here until 15th July.
Greenfinch – one on 14th August, they seem to have disappeared after a couple of good years.
Spotted Flycatcher – one on 28th August is my first garden sighting since 2009!
