Flight of the Swans film screening and Q&A

On 24th March, at Maker with Rame Community Hall, Kingsand, Cornwall Climate Care are delighted to be hosting a talk and film screening by Sacha Dench, also known as the ‘Human Swan’.
In 2017, Sacha undertook an epic 7,000km flight in a paramotor from the Russian Arctic to the UK, following the migration of Bewick’s swans to investigate the reason for their decline.
Along the way Sacha, who is also a former freediving champion, achieved the Guinness World Record for crossing the Channel in a paramotor and became the first woman in 50 years to win the Britannia Trophy for an outstanding feat of aviation.
We will be showing the film ‘Flight of the Swans’ about her incredible journey, as well as giving a talk and answering questions.
Half the funds raised from the evening will go to Sacha’s charity Conservation Without Borders and half to Cornwall Climate Care, to help us fund future films in the Cornwall’s Climate Stories series.
