Spring Migrants and Summer Visitors in West Cornwall

We have teamed up again with Paul Freestone and Cornwall Bird Watching Tours to bring you two further field trips on 7th and 8th May. These mornings will be spent in the valleys of West Cornwall, in search of Spring overshoots with possibilities like Wryneck, Woodchat Shrike, Hoopoe and Serin; as well as our summer visitors like Pied and Spotted Flycatcher, Whitethroat and Lesser Whitethroat, Cuckoo, Willow Warbler, Redstart, Yellow Wagtail and Ring Ouzel.

We start at 0830hrs meeting at Pauls HQ at Connor Downs and will travel by mini-bus picking  up along the way at Hayle, Marazion and Penzance if needed.  We aim to be back early afternoon. This is a relatively gentle stroll but as these are valleys, they do have incline/declines!

Booking essential. Each trip is limited to 8 people, to enable you to get the most from Pauls expertise so book early to secure your place.

Please bring binoculars and a telescope (if you have one). We have a travel telescope and binoculars for hire if you wish. Wear suitable footwear and clothing. Feel free to bring drink and a snack.
These tours are aimed at all bird watchers regardless of experience or ability. Come along and enjoy the fresh air and learn more about Cornwall’s birdlife!

Trip leader will be Paul Freestone who can be contacted on 07794559881 or [email protected] with any questions.
