A morning walk looking for wintering land and water birds around the National Trust farm at Tregew (which is now managed for wildlife and the enjoyment of human users) and an area of open mature woodland at Roundwood and views over the adjacent Cowlands and Lamouth Creeks.

Take the second bridleway to the right off the by-road from Penelewey to Cowlands and Coombe at Map Ref SW829 405. Beware – don’t take the tree-lined bridleway shortly before it. We’ll meet up at a double gateway about 30m up this (rather bumpy) bridleway. You may be able to park there, but if not there are several parking spaces beside the road on either side of the entrance to the bridleway.
