The Environment Agency will start engineering work at Maer Lake on Monday that will last for approximately 2 weeks. This has been approved by Cornwall Birds and the Cornwall Wildlife Trust. The work will involve creating a new ditch on the western side and 3 islands to improve habitats especially for water voles. An EA ecologist will be on site to supervise access and oversee the work.
