Some recent correspondence about a ringed Osprey in Cornwall.
I photographed the Osprey seen on April 2nd over the River Camel. I sent the photo to Roy Dennis in Scotland, to see if he could identify the rings. I’ve had Roy’s reply, see below.

It is one of our Scottish birds but I just cannot get the red ring inscription – could be 5E or 6E, 8? – I guess this is your only photo so all I can say is it is one of ours but not able to identify it as an individual. It’s an adult female so on its way back to breed. What weather it’s been – holding everything up.
