Chynhalls Point, Coverack, 06.10-08.15: 1 juv Yellow-legged Gull, 110 Manx Shearwater, 4 Fulmar, 4 Sandwich Tern, 1 Turnstone, 1 Whimbrel, 2 Oystercatcher, 35 Kittiwake, 3 Shag, 1 Cormorant, 140 Herring Gull, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 3 Great Black-backed Gull, 25 auk sp, 6 Common Dolphin and 2 Risso’s Dolphin on a seawatch. Coverack: 32 Mediterranean Gull, 8 Swift screaming in a party from 2 (or 3?) apparently occupied nests in Old Post Office, 1 juv Green Woodpecker presumably bred nearby, 40 Herring Gull (including at least 3 pairs with chicks on rooftop nests), 2 Collared Dove displaying. (D Wood)
