Gwenter, Lizard: 2 Purple Heron on marshland just outside village, later 1 seen flying towards Gwenter and no sign of 2nd bird. (J Jones)

Maer Lake, Bude: 1 Black-winged Stilt, 35 Teal, 4 Mallard, 4 Moorhen, 2 Coot, 22 Herring Gull, 6 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1 Great Black-backed Gull, 1 Common Gull, 1 Black-headed Gull, 5 Woodpigeon, c40 Sand Martin, 5 Goldfinch, 2 Chaffinch, 1 Greenfinch, 1 Dunnock, 1 Carrion Crow, 1 Cetti’s Warbler (heard). Towan Head, Newquay, 07.00-09.00: 1 Arctic Skua watched for 20 minutes, at one point stealing a fish from a Kittiwake. 150+ Manx Shearwater, 1 Sandwich Tern, 8 Swallow. (D Grose)

Marazion Beach: c30 Common Gull, c25 Mediterranean Gull, c40 Black-headed Gull, 3m White Wagtail, 6 Ringed Plover, c10 Turnstone. Also sum plum Great Northern Diver, 3 Sandwich Tern offshore. Also 50+ Sand Martin over the marsh. (R Veal)
