The Society is grateful to the Clowance Estate for allowing access to the park to view the Roller.  When visiting please note the following:

  • Only park in the overflow gravel car park near the main house and walk to the old golf course area. Do not park on any verges or block other vehicles.
  • No dogs are allowed in the park
  • Respect the privacy of lodge owners and other visitors
  • Do not walk into the set-aside fields as they are on private land. View only through hedges of Clowance Estate

Praze-an-Beeble: 1 European Roller seen briefly in 1st weedy field by old golf course at Clowance Estate. (T Vicenza)

Portscatho: 2 Black-throated Diver off Porthbean beach. (Birdguides)

Hannafore, Looe.  1 Fulmar between Looe Island and Hannafore. ( D Sharp).

A30 near Redruth: 1 Red Kite over late morning.  (M & R Frost)

Retire Common: 4 (3M, 1F) Tufted Duck on pond, 3 Willow Warbler singing, 1 male Reed Bunting, 2 Chiffchaff, 2 Stonechat (1M, 1F), 1 male Cuckoo chased by Meadow pipits, 1 Painted Lady. (I Bennallick, J Sproull)

Battery Rocks, Penzance: m Eider, 23 Purple Sandpiper, Turnstone. ( D Flumm)

Tehidy: 4 Jays, 3 Song Thrush, Blackcap, Dunnock, 8 Robins, 4 Wren, 2 Blue Tit, 6 Blackbird, 4 Wood Pigeon, Nuthatch, Goldcrest, Chiffchaff, 2 Chaffinch, Great Spotted Woodpecker, 2 Collard Dove, 4 Magpie, Lots of Jackdaw, Carrion Crow and Rook (S.Hinkley)

Tywardreath: 1 Swift flying east to west over Southpark Road at 14.50. ( R. Barlow)

Par Beach: 1 Whitethroat ( continually calling ), 1 male Stonechat, both at eastern end of gorse area. ( R. Barlow)

Porthgwarra: (08.20-10.20) 1 Arctic Skua and 3 Puffin. (N Rogers)

Marazion Marsh: 1 drake Garganey still present and displaying to a female Mallard! (S Rogers)
