We are happy to be able to let you know that the necessary maintenance work on the boardwalk at the Golden Lion Hide at Stithians Reservoir was completed this afternoon, thanks to Jeremy Fielden of SW Lakes and a team of CBWPS members, Adrian Lea, Simon Van Hear and John St Ledger. The hide is now open and the roof and guttering will be replaced in the near future.

Dobwalls: 2 Red Kite over 08.58 flying west, then 1 over 14.50 flying north; 1 Grey Heron, 6 Swallow, 6 Goldfinch, 2 singing Chiffchaff, 1 Meadow Brown, 1 Speckled Wood. Also in private garden: 1 f Great Spotted Woodpecker taking food away from feeder, 1 juv Siskin, 2 juv Blue Tit, 13 House Sparrow (C&J Duffy)

Trenow, Perranuthnoe: 1 Whimbrel, 1 Little Egret, 2 Greater Black-backed Gull, 1 Cormorant, 4 Carrion Crow, 2 Blackbird (1 adult, 1 juv), 2 Robin (1 adult and 1 juv), 1 Devil’s Coach Horse Beetle. (P K Bray)
