Late News 12/04 Hayle Estuary RSPB: Common Sandpiper on Ryan’s Field (Sennen Cove Birdwatching)
Marazion Marsh RSPB: 11 Grey Heron, 1 Little Egret, 6 Mute Swan, 4 Canada Geese, 3 Greylag, 2 hybrid geese, 1 Shelduck, 7 Mallard (including another 2 broods of 7 & 8 ducklings), 2 Teal, 13 Moorhen, 2 Cormorant, 1 Black-headed Gull, c30 Sand Martin, 3 Swallow, 1 House Martin, 2 Reed Bunting, 1 Stonechat, 1 Willow Warbler, 2 Chiffchaff and 4 Cetti’s Warbler. Also 16 Turnstone, 4 Ringed Plover, 3 Oystercatcher, 1 Dunlin and 1 Sanderling on the beach. (D Parker)
Land’s End: 24 Swallows and 5 Sand Martins over the cycle track, also 2 Chiffchaff, 1 Stonechat and 1 Raven. (D Parker)
Par: 1 Sedge Warbler, 3 Blackcaps, 5 Swallows in off the sea and a corpse of a Short-eared Owl in willows round the back of the pool, well decomposed at least 3 weeks old. (D Eva)
Walmsley Sanctuary (CBWPS Members Only): 1 1w Iceland Gull (photo) 1 Blue-winged Teal (photo) tiny male Sparrowhawk again taking Sand Martin, female Sparrowhawk, 60+ Sand Martin and 9 Stock Dove. (C Selway)
