Late news, St Ives area, 18th April, Buttermilk Hill: 20+ Meadow Pipit (feeding in the Pool Field most breed on the moors), 2 (m+f) Ring Ouzel. St. Ives NCI: 18 Sandwich Tern, 12 Turnstone, 6 Manx Shearwater, 400 to 500 Swallow moving through all day and 16 Sand Martin. 19th April, Anjue Green Cottage: 5 Wheatear. Buttermilk Hill (morning): 3 Ring Ouzel, 12 Wheatear in Pool field, 1 m Black Redstart and 2 Cuckoo, one on Rosewall Hill, the other on the croft on the South Side. Buttermilk Hill evening: 8 Ring Ouzel,14 Wheatear on North side of the Hill, 19 Wheatears on the South Croft side of the Hill and 1 Swift. Anjue Green Cottage: 14 Wheatear in the field below the cottage, 5 Common Buzzard, 4 Raven and a total of 47 Wheatear here today. 20th April, Buttermilk Hill: 3 Ring Ouzel, 14 Wheatear in Pool Field and 1 Swift. 21st April, Buttermilk Hill: 44 Wheatear in the Pool Field and 8 around the rest of the moorlands (52 Wheatear in total), 1 Whinchat and 20 Meadow Pipit. Helston: 1 Whooper Swan again on the boating lake.
Perranuthnoe: 1 Hudsonian Whimbrel still at Boat Cove, also 1 Black-throated Diver and 1 Great Northern Diver in sum plum. (J Ryan)
