Late news 22/9 Camel Estuary: One Dalmatian Pelican observed at 17:00 feeding in shallow sea and walking on low tide sand bar in Padstow and Rock Camel Estuary overlooking Porthilly. It remained for over an hour flying from one area of the sandbank to another. (J Tudor) It was later seen that evening in Daymer Bay. (per DI Julian)

RSPB Scillonian Wildlife Cruise, Penzance to Wolf Rock: 1 drake Eider, 1 Shag, 440 Gannet, 6 Great Black-backed Gull, 3 Guillemot, 1 Cory’s Shearwater, 1 Fulmar, 1 Balearic Shearwater, 1 Manx Shearwater, 2 Razorbill, 5 Common Dolphin. Wolf Rock to St Mary’s: 120 Gannet, 1 Fulmar, 1 Great Skua, 4 Grey Phalarope, 2 Harbour Porpoise, 2 Common Dolphin. (P Taylor & H Mitchell)

Camel Estuary, Padstow/Rock: 1 Dalmatian Pelican observed off Porthilly at 17:20, sitting alongside a group of gulls feeding in the shallows on a falling tide, still present at 7pm. (J Tudor, DI Julian et al.)

Rame: Northern Willow Warbler in Penlee Battery car park. (A Pearson) Also 1 Ring Ouzel at farm.

Porth Joke: 1 Hoopoe flew down the valley at 5.30pm chased by Jackdaws and headed up into the fields between Treago Mill and West Pentire. Also 4 Chiffchaff, 1 Blackcap, 12 Stonechat. (S Rowe)

Nanjizal Valley: 92 birds ringed including 33 Chiffchaff, 37 Blackcap, 2 Goldcrest, 2 Reed Warbler, 1 Sedge Warbler, 1 Garden Warbler, 3 Willow Warbler, 1 Wryneck, 1 Melodious Warbler. (K Wilson)

West Looe River: 1 Kingfisher off  Trenant Point. (S Street)

Calenick Creek, Truro: 1 Osprey this afternoon, caught a mullet on its second attempt. Also 13 Greenshank, 57 Redshank, 1 Kingfisher. (C Benton)

River Fal/Truro River Junction: 2 Osprey fishing at sunset. One with blue/white Darvic ring possibly “NY2” (J Irvine – photos, B Osman & H Osman)

Porthgwarra: 1 Red-backed Shrike still at Porth Loe.
