Stithians Reservoir: 1 Hen Harrier (female) by feeders at cut off hide at 08:10 this morning but flew off in direction of the main reservoir. Also Drake Mandarin with Mallard. RSPB Wildlife Cruise, Penzance to Wolf Rock: 1 drake Eider, 1 fem type Red-breasted Merganser, 33 Gannet, 13 Shag, 2 Oystercatcher, 1 Arctic Skua, 11 Kittiwake, 4 Black-headed Gull, 24 Herring Gull, 1 Great Black-backed Gull, 37 Guillemot, 2 Razorbill and 1 Meadow Pipit. Also 2 Harbour Porpoise. Ruan Lanihorne -Fal saltmarsh:  (4.15pm). 2 Spoonbill flew up river from Ardevora, circled, prospected but did not land; then returned down river. Other birds present; 12 Black-tailed Godwit, 100+ Curlew, 30+ Redshank, 14 Dunlin, 2 Common Sandpiper, 3 Greenshank, 40 + Oystercatcher. 80+ Wigeon, 150+ Canada Geese, 11 Shelduck, 8 Mallard, 1 Water Rail, 2 Mute Swan and 1 Kingfisher. Also from midday onwards , some large , some small flocks of Woodpigeon going through , all flying westerly, 2500+ at least. (D Hall)
