Skewjack: Rough-legged Buzzard– the bird from Skewjack flew N over St Just then Kenidjack at about 11.40 am, House Martin- two over Bollowal Farm at around midday, Woodcock- one flushed from field edge near Boswedden (F Hawkins)

Tehidy Woods: 5 or 6 Firecrest, with thanks to the lady at Marazion on the 7th who suggested Tehidy as a likely location to spot Firecrest (which I’ve not seen for 50 years!) – it worked. (M Hood)

St Ives Island, 08.00-11.30: 2 Long-tailed Duck, Sabine’s Gull, Arctic Skua, 6 Manx Shearwater, 2000 Kittiwake, 10,000 plus auks – all west. Black Redstart also present. Several Tuna feeding offshore throughout. (A Lobb)

Penzance, Longrock beach: No sign of Bonaparte’s Gull but 1 Leach’s Petrel feeding over breaking waves until killed by Herring Gull, 25 Sanderling, Great Northern Diver offshore, 2 unidentified Scoter which couldn’t be relocated after the petrel incident, Snow Bunting. (A Lobb)
