Kenidjack: Hoopoe seen briefly at about 11.15 initially in field on north side of valley, near track to Botallack, then flew east and, unfortunately, I couldn’t relocate it (P Clarke)

Kenidjack Valley: Common Redstart (male), 2 Wheatear (male) at beach, 1 female type Black Redstart also at beach, Blackcap (2 male, 1 female) (J Holter)

Chapel Amble: White-fronted Goose (1st yr) grazing with Canada Geese & 3 Greylag Goose, 60 Teal, Little Ringed Plover, 2 Ruff, Green Sandpiper, ca. 55 Sand Martin, feeding to S, most appearing to leave NE as wind dropped, Yellow Wagtail, White Wagtail, 23 Pied Wagtail 1745-1900 (G Stephenson)

Botallack:  Male Common Redstart, Female Ring Ouzel, 10 Wheatear, 3 Sand Martin this evening. (No sign of Hoopoe). (S. Rogers, S. Williams).

Late Submission, 10/04, Chynalls Point, Coverack: (10:30 – 12:00)
1 Great Skua, 1 Puffin, 2 Black-throated Diver, 17 Sandwich Tern, c.150 Kittiwakes, Manx Shearwater passing at a rate of 15-20 per minute, 14 Fulmar, c.200 Gannet, c.400 Razorbill and c.20 Guillemot (D. Wood and S. Wood).

Late Submission, 10/04, Devoran: 1 Canada Goose, 4 Mute Swan, 6 Shelduck, 2 Mallard, 2 Grey Heron (1 more from road near Perranarworthal), 3-4 Little Egret (1 more from road near Perranarworthal), 4 Cormorant, 3 Oystercatcher, 1 Whimbrel, 10 Curlew, 4 Turnstone, 4 Redshank, 4 Greenshank, present but not counted Black-headed Gull, 51 Common Gull, 1 GBB Gull, present but not counted Herring Gull, 3 LBB Gull all from about 11.30 to 12.45 in the Chycoose/Point/Devoran part of Restronguet Creek, counting most of the waterbird species.
