Hayle Estuary RSPB: Ryan’s Field – 2 Whimbrel, 3 Black-tailed Godwit (2 summer plum.), 6 Sandwich Tern, 1 Barnacle Goose (asleep in front of the Old Quay House an hour later), 1 Common Sandpiper and 8 Mediterranean Gulls among c200 Black-headed Gulls. Downderry: 1 Great Northern Diver flew east early this morning, followed by two moving west. Also 2 Mediterranean Gulls in area. (A Payne)
