Late news 30/12, Mevagissey area: 2 Great Northern Diver in harbour and another 25 close inshore on a walk to Chapel Point. Also 1 Razorbill and 1 Purple Sandpiper on rocks in the harbour, 1 Red-throated Diver at Chapel Point and 1 Common Sandpiper amongst a large flock of Turnstone. (D McKeown)

Marazion, Little London: 1 Hudsonian Whimbrel, 1 Eurasian Whimbrel, 1 Curlew plus 1 Great Northern Diver offshore (M Ahmad, MJ Spicer)

Hayle Estuary RSPB Reserve, Ryan’s Field: 1 redhead Goosander and 1 Firecrest. (MJ Spicer) Also 1 Yellow-browed Warbler. (B Dallas) 1 2w Ring-billed Gull and 1 Spoonbill again.

Lizard Point, 3-hr seawatch: 1 Black-throated Diver, 1 Cormorant, 396 Fulmar, 18 Great Skua, 1 Puffin, 957 Razorbill, 50 Shag, 576 Gannet, 2 Great Northern Diver, 410 Guillemot, 4248 Kittiwake, 1 Pomarine Skua and 1 Sooty Shearwater. Newlyn, Sandy Cove: 1 Little Auk (M Elliot) also 1 Guillemot and  4 Great Northern Diver and 9+ in the harbour. (T Mills)

Penzance, Lidden area: 1 Firecrest and 2 m Blackcap in private garden. (T Mills) Also 1 m Eider off Jubillee Pool. (T Mills) And 1 Black Redstart by Railway Station.
