Late News 06/04 Marazion Marsh RSPB: Raven took a young rabbit. (B Sharples)

Marazion Marsh RSPB: 2 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Little Egret, 11 Grey Heron, 8 Mute Swan, 3 Canada Geese, 2 Greylag, 2 hybrid geese, 2 Shelduck, 7 Mallard, 7 Teal, 15 Moorhen, 1 Water Rail, 2 Cormorant, c80 Sand Martin, 1 Swallow, 3 House Martin, 1 Wheatear, 2 Stonechat, 4 Willow Warbler, 3 Chiffchaff and 5 Cetti’s Warbler. Also 9 Turnstone, 6 Oystercatcher and 1 Dunlin on the beach. (D Parker, L Proctor & V Stratton)
Walmsley Sanctuary (CBWPS Members Only): Female Blue-winged Teal still, 10 Greenshank (including Ythan estuary colour ringed individual) 1 sum plum Spotted Redshank, 7 Ruff, 34 Knot, 43 Black-tailed Godwit, 3 Wigeon. 5 Pintail, 15 Shoveler, 9 Gadwall, 3 Willow Warbler, 9 Sand Martin, 1 Swallow and a Siberian Chiffchaff. (C Selway) Also House Martins, 1 Heron, Herring Gulls, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull, Moorhens, Coots, 1 Little Egret, Mute Swans, Mallards (1 f with 4 juv), Canada Geese, 2 Bar-tailed Godwit, 2m & 1f Tufted Duck, 1 Buzzard, 4m & 6f Teal, Carrion Crow, Jackdaws, 2 Little Grebe, 1 Lapwing, Chaffinch, 1 juv Iceland Gull, m Sparrowhawk, 1 Black-headed Gull, 2 Magpie, m & f Pied Wagtail, 1 Great Black-backed Gull, 2 Blackbird, Willow Warbler (heard) Chiffchaff; Blue Tit and Robin. Stithians Reservoir:2 Little Grebe and 2 Coot in Golden Lion Bay. 4 Canada Geese, 2 Great Black-backed Gull, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 2 Great Tit, 2 Wigeon, 1 Buzzard, 3 Mallard and 3 Great Crested Grebe from the Stuart Hutchings hide. 26 Canada Geese in field with 1 Greylag with them, 4 Goldfinch, 3 Dunnock, 5 Chaffinch and 2 Chiffchaff from Carnmenellis Bank. (W Chegwidden) Drake Ring-necked Duck this evening presumed same as Penhalvean individual.
Penhalvean: Drake Ring-necked Duck still with 6 Tufted Duck and 2 Canada Geese, on the private pond north of the reservoir. (W Chegwidden) Presumed same seen
Zennor: Ringtail Hen Harrier at Eagles Nest. (P St Pierre)

Argal Reservoir: 4 Swallow, 3 Willow Warbler and 10 Chiffchaff. (D Eva)
College Reservoir: 1 Snipe, 1 Green Woodpecker and 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker. (D Eva) Also 6 Canada Goose, 2 Mute Swan, 2 Teal, 10+ Moorhen, 1 Coot, c20 Herring Gull, 2 LBB Gull, Mistle Thrush, Bullfinch, Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff and Blackcap. (D Chaney)

Buttermilk Hill/Rosewall Hill: A full adult female Goshawk being mobbed somewhat half-heartedly by Carrion Crows which it dwarfed, as they could not quite make up their minds what to do with this very large accipter. The bird hung in the air for some time typical with Goshawk and slowly cruised towards Zennor flying over our heads. We observed this bird for some time during which time it did not even flap wing as it flew westwards. Camel Estuary: 16 Cormorant, 3 Shag, 25 Little Egret, 14 Grey heron, 33 Mute Swan, 2 Black Swan, 77 Shelduck, 10 Wigeon, 32 Mallard, 4 Moorhen, 70 Oystercatcher, 4 Black-tailed Godwit, 84 Curlew, 6 Redshank, 3 Turnstone, 7 Buzzard, 1 Peregrine, 1 first winter Mediterranean Gull, 15 Kittiwake, 132 Black-headed Gull, 1 adult Common Gull, 39 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1619 Herring Gull, 160 Great Black-backed Gull, 7 Sandwich Tern, 12 Guillemot and 42 Razorbill. Harlyn Pools: 3 House Martin, 60 Sand Martin and 4 Swallow. (D Julian)
Swanpool: 8 Mute Swan and 2 Razorbill just offshore. 9 Fulmar (3 pairs) on Swanpool cliffs. Great Crested Grebe, 1+ Willow Warbler, 2 Mute Swan, 4 Tufted Duck, 22+ Coot and 10+ Mallard on Swanpool. (D Chaney)
