Hayle Estuary RSPB, Copperhouse Creek: 1 ad Bonaparte’s Gull at 2pm. Lelant Saltings: 3 Mediterranean Gull, (2 ad s/p & 1s). Ryan’s Field: 4 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Common Sandpiper & 1 Greenshank. (J Hawkey)
Marazion Marsh RSPB: 1 Purple Heron still, also 6 Swallow, 4 singing Reed Warbler, 1 Sedge Warbler, 6 singing Cetti’s Warbler, pair Bullfinch, 2 Little Egret, 1 Common Sandpiper. (P St Pierre, R Butts) Plus 4 Stonechat, 1 Buzzard and 1 Willow Warbler. (P Freestone) Purple Heron still present this evening. Botallack common: 1 Hoopoe flew northwest from Warren’s pool landing in heather between the pool and the radio mast at c11.40, also Cuckoo calling from Higher Bostraze. (P Clarke)
Newlyn: Juv Glaucous Gull flew south from Newlyn Harbour at 12:30. (L Proctor) Glaucous Gull back in the harbour mid-afternoon, plus 1 1w Kittiwake and 9 Turnstone (3 males in summer plumage), also 3 Sandwich Tern feeding off Sandy Cove. (T Mills)
