Porthpean: 21 Great Northern Diver, 4 Black-throated Diver 1 Red-throated Diver, 1 Red-necked Grebe, 11 Common Scoter, 2 Surf Scoter, 1 Long-tailed Duck, with 1 1stw Pomarine Skua feeding beyond the oyster farm and settled on the sea. (B Bosisto)

Hayle Estuary RSPB: 28 Mediterranean Gull. Carnsew Pool: 1 Spoonbill, 1 Mediterranean Gull, 1 fem Sparrowhawk, 3 Bar-tailed Godwit, 1 Black Swan, 3 Greenshank. (S Grose)

Penzance: 1 sub-adult Caspian Gull; the same bird as at Hayle yesterday, on the rocks off Jubilee Pool this morning where it showed at much closer range. Penzance Harbour: 4 Great Northern Diver and a brief Velvet Scoter. Stithians Reservoir:  Pair of Great-spotted Woodpecker showing well,  4 Greenfinch,  10 Long -tailed Tit,  2 Reed bunting  4 Coal Tit,  2 Chiffchaff,  1 Jay,  1 Coot,  Chaffinch,  Blue Tit and Great tit and 1 male Mandarin amid Mallard, all from southern cut-off hide. (A James)
