Late news, 30/6, Southerly Point, Lizard: Three French-ringed Kittiwakes present amongst loafing non-breeding birds (T Thirlaway). Two of the birds were ringed as chicks in France in 2016 and 2017 but the third bird is yet to be confirmed. Anyone else seeing groups of loafing birds is asked to check them carefully for colour rings (two and a metal ring on one leg and three on the other leg), reporting them to the news team or [email protected]

Hayle Estuary RSPB: ad sum plum Pacific Golden Plover relocated to Copperhouse Creek at 11.20, then flew towards Carnsew at 13.10 where it settled again. (B Craven, M Elliot) Carnsew Pool: Also 5 Mediterranean Gull. (S Grose) Ryan’s Field: Franklin’s Gull at full tide, amongst a flock of black-headed gulls, alongside a Mediterranean gull. The bird was present from 6:45 until 7:10 at least. (M.Goddard, S.Goddard). Also Barnacle Goose again.
Polgigga, Bosistow Lane: 1 European Bee-eater on wires, but no sign since it flew towards Rafta Farm. (M Wallace, J Ryan)
West Pentire: probable adult Rose-coloured Starling in flight on track near Bowgie Inn car park briefly.

Otterham: Red Kite drifted over Otterham Station towards Hallworthy at 1455 hrs. (M Worden)

Land`s End: 3 Puffin together, and ad Mediterranean Gull west through the Longships this morning.
