Late news, 23/12, Vault Beach, (east side of Dodman Point): 1 Black-throated Diver. Hemmick Beach, Penare: 4 Black-throated Diver. (P&J Smale)

Newquay, Gannel Estuary: Interesting leucistic, almost white, Black-headed Gull for 4th day now. (M Lammas)

Walmsley Sanctuary: 1 Otter, 1 Spoonbill (also seen yesterday by another birder), 1 Water Rail, 1 Barn Owl, 100+ Lapwing, 100+ Canada Geese, 5 Pintail, 5 Gadwall, 2 Shoveler, several Chiffchaff, 9 Snipe, 4 Little Egret, 100+ Black-tailed Godwit, 30+ Dunlin, 11 Redshank, 7 Red-legged Partridge, 4 Cormorant, 3 Grey Heron, 1 Green Sandpiper, + lots of Curlew, Teal and Mallard. Stithians Reservoir: 5 Goldeneye, 1 Pintail, 1 Shoveler. (D Eva) 1 Firecrest, 1m Mandarin, 2m Pintail, 80+ Fieldfare. (G Adams)

St Austell Sewage Works: 1 Hawfinch, 3 Siberian Chiffchaff, 35 nominate Chiffchaff, 3 Firecrest, 40 Goldcrest, 2 Brambling, single Blackcap and 45 Pied Wagtail. Plus a probable Lesser Whitethroat. (P Roseveare)

Hayle Estuary RSPB: Spoonbill and fem type Goosander still plus an adult argentatus Herring Gull. (T McGowan) 1 ad/near ad Yellow-legged Gull and 3 Common Gull at the river mouth. (R Veal)

Newton in St Martin: 25 Little Egret, 3 Cattle Egret. In muddy cattle field by turn to Tretharrup. (M Nattrass)

Mawgan: 1 Brambling, 6 Long-tailed Tit and 1 male Blackcap in garden.  Also 2 Firecrest seen in hedgerows. (P Bedford)
