Newquay, Towan Head:  5 Great Northern Diver past between 8 30 to 9 15 a m. (M Lammas, J Pascoe) Pentire Head: 1 Short-eared Owl again 3 50 till 4 30 p.m (M Lammas)

Bude Marshes: 106 Canada Geese (including 1 hybrid),36 Moorhen, 2 Water Rail, 49 Mallard, 4 Teal, 12 Snipe, 2 Grey Heron, 2 Fieldfare, 12 european-type Blackbird, 37 Linnet, 49 Chaffinch, 2 Reed Bunting, 32 Goldfinch, 4 Skylark, and 3 Meadow Pipit (farmer has drained the marsh so very little bird life now). 1 escaped green/yellow budgie on Berris avenue.
