Late News 14/08 Downderry:Sabine’s Gull reported flying east between 17:30 & 18:30 also Sooty Shearwater.
Marazion Marsh RSPB: 4 Grey Heron, 1 Little Egret, 3 Mute Swan, 1 Cormorant, 6 Mallard, 3 ad Moorhen plus 8 full grown young, 1 juv Spotted Crake, 1 Wood Sandpiper, 1 Dunlin, 1 Common Sandpiper, 2 Stonechat, 3 Reed Bunting, Sedge Warblers and Reed Warblers. (D Parker, L Proctor & D Flumm)

Penryn River: 14 Ringed Plover, 1 Dunlin, 6 Turnstone, 2 Greenshank, 34 Redshank, 23 Curlew, 4 Oystercatcher and 2 Little Egret. (J St Ledger)
Hayle Estuary RSPB: 2 Common Sandpiper and 1 Whimbrel on Ryan’s Field. 3 Common Sandpiper, 2 Redshank and 1 Bar-tailed Godwit on Lelant Water. 7 Sandwich Tern, Kestrel and 3 Turnstone in mixed flock of Dunlin and Ringed Plover in Carnsew Basin. All in the morning. (D Jenkins) Between 17:45 and 19:45 in the pouring rain the estuary and Ryan’s field held 25 Sandwich Tern, 37 Common Tern, 8 Arctic Tern, 4 Black Tern (3 juv and an adult), 3 Ruff, 2 Whimbrel and 1 Black-tailed Godwit. Drift Reservoir: (CBWPS members only):Osprey seen flying between the NW and NE arms of the reservoir 12:00-12:10. It dived into the water once but did not appear to catch anything. (D Jenkins)
Walmsley Sanctuary (CBWPS Members Only): 11+ Swift, 1 Hobby, 9 Green Sandpiper, 8 Black-tailed Godwit, 10 Snipe, 1 Lapwing, 4 Shoveler (including 1 juv), 4 Gadwall, 18 Teal including at least 3 juv, 5 Stock Dove and 1 Sedge Warbler. (C Selway)

Gorran Haven: 2 Cory’s Shearwaters, 2 Sooty Shearwaters and 1 Pom Skua between 10:25 & 12:00.
