Late news, 26/4, Walmsley Sanctuary: 1 Garganey, 3 Tufted Duck, 1 Greylag Goose ( good chance it’s a genuine migrant ), 1 Sinensis type Cormorant, 17 Shelduck, 1 Dunlin, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Lapwing, 1 Barn Owl, 2 Mistle Thrush, 60 Swallow, 20 House Martin, 100 Sand Martin. (B Bosistow)
Nanquidno: Flock of 56 Whimbrel, 1 Swift. (C&C Moore)
Marazion Marsh RSPB: 2 Gadwall, 1 Wheatear, 1 Reed Bunting, 3 Linnet , 1 House Martin, Swallow, 7 Whimbrel flew over, Reed and Sedge Warbler, Cetti’s Warbler, 2 Whitethroat, 2 Canada Goose. (R & J Teague) Also drake Garganey still present.
Praa Sands: 1 Kentish Plover, 2 Ringed Plover, 1 Dunlin and 9 Whimbrel on the beach, plus 5 Shelduck flew west early morning. (M Southam et al.)
