Trevethow Riel, next to Waitrose in Truro: Developers (instructed by the Duchy ) have installed 71 Swift boxes into the walls of the new houses around the estate. There will eventually be another 50 boxes when all the building is complete. No Swifts this year but at least 10 have been used by House Martins, 5 have been used by House Sparrows and 1 by Blue Tits. Interestingly the House Martins have partially blocked the entrance holes with mud. (P Pearson)
