Kynance: Brown Shrike still at Soapy Cove, also 1 Wryneck. (T Phelps) The Shrike is generally elusive in scrub behind the large Willow tree. Also 2 Wryneck, Chough and Merlin (T Wilson) 2 Merlin (1 at Soapy Cove, 1 at Kynance Gate), 1 Wryneck (Soapy Cove), 14 Golden Plover over, 2 Kestrel, 60+ Meadow Pipit. Housel Bay: 1 Spotted Flycatcher. (D Collins)
Kenidjack: 2 Spotted Flycatcher, 10 Chiffchaffs, 2 Kestrels, 1 Sparrowhawk & 2 Chough. Blackbirds (10) & Great Tit (15) were the commonest other species. (J Hawkey & K Dalziel)
Nanquidno: 1 Blackcap, 8 Chiffchaff, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Chough. Butterflies include Painted Lady, Small Copper, Speckled Wood, Red Admiral & Large White. (J Hawkey & K Dalziel)
Newquay, Towan Head: Just a few Gannets but 20 + Common dolphins off point and in bay from early a,m till at least 12 30 pm. (M Lammas)
