Late news, 6/5, Trispen: 1 Hobby over garden chasing swallows. 6+ Swift, 10+ House Martin, 5+ Swallow, 8 Goldfinch, 7 Greenfinch, 2 Collard Dove, 2 Siskin (1 male and 1 female). (C Mason)

Late news, 6/5, Porth Reservoir: 12 Great Crested Grebe, (2 prs nesting and a 3 rd pr nest building), 2 prs of Coot, 1 Kingfisher feeding young at nest site, 1m Wigeon, 1m Tufted Duck. (S Grose)

Late news, 6/5, Housel Bay: A female or juv Marsh Harrier came in off the sea being harassed by Herring Gulls at 3:10pm. On reaching land it immediately went to ground on the cliff side in vegetation. (B Hawker)

Marazion Marsh RSPB: drk Garganey again, displaying to fem Teal. Also male Yellow Wagtail still on the beach, winter plumage Black-throated Diver and 4 Common Scoter offshore. (S Rogers, R Veal)

St Just: Red Kite north 12:25-12:40 hrs, 2 Wheatear. Photo of a typical British race male Stonechat, S.r.hibernans taken today showing more extensive and deeper orange coloration (especially breast area) compared to the “Lookalike Continental Stonechat, S.r.rubicola” taken at same location 1st May – not seen since.
