Late News 10/12 Porthgwarra: 2 Balearic Shearwaters W, 1 Great Northern Diver E, 7 Black-throated Diver W, 2 Red-throated Diver, 1 Hooded Crow (or hybrid – only seen distantly), 1 Black Redstart (fem/imm), 2 Choughs and100 Chaffinch E. Also 85+ Common Dolphins (one loose pod slowly moving W) and 10+ Harbour Porpoise. (R Wynn)
Marazion Marsh RSPB: 8 Mute Swan (inc 4 juv), 21 Mallard, 37 Teal, 5 Little Grebe, 1 Little Egret, 7 Grey Heron, 1+ Water Rail, 11 Moorhen, 1 Coot, 1 Buzzard, 3 Oystercatcher, 15 Snipe, 1 Stonechat, 2 Redwing and 2 Song Thrush. Marazion: Pacific Diver still plus 5+ Great Northern Divers, 1 Dark-bellied Brent Goose, 2 Velvet Scoter and 1 male Red Breasted Merganser offshore plus 21 Sanderling and 1 Stonechat on the beach. Trescobeas Park, Falmouth: 10+ Siskin and 1 Lesser Redpoll in the alders. There were also 20+ Greenfinch, 1 Blackcap (m), 20+ Blackbird, 8 Redwing, 4+ Goldfinch, 4 Chaffinch and 2 Goldcrest. The nearby stubble field held 3 Snipe, c15 Skylark, c10 Meadow Pipit, 2 Song Thrush, 7 Dunnock, 3 Carrion Crow and 6 Starling. (D Chaney)
